The American Liver Foundation is the only voluntary health agency devoted exclusively to combating liver disease. Established in 1976, their mission is to facilitate, advocate and promote education, support and research for the prevention, treatment, and cure of liver disease. In addition to making a difference through 16 staffed divisions around the country, the American Liver Foundation provides every day support to liver patients through a Drug Discount Program, an online support forum, and a helpline that is staffed Monday through Friday, 9 am to 7 pm ET. To reach the helpline, please call 1-800-465-4837. For liver information, please visit liverfoundation.org or follow the American Liver Foundation on Facebook at facebook.com/liverinfo.
